The Idaho Water Resources Research Institute (IWRRI) at the University of Idaho seeks two research hydrogeologists to conduct applied research projects in support of the Idaho Department of Water Resources (IDWR) Eastern Snake Plain Aquifer planning, management and water rights adjudication programs. This includes aiding in the installation of continuous ground water level recording devices, collecting water level data recorded by these devices, entering and processing this data into IDWR database systems, performing QA/QC analysis for this data, and performing statistical and mathematical analyses using this data to determine trends in water surface levels in the Eastern Snake Plain Aquifer. This position works under the direction of the IWRRI Director with input from the IDWR Planning staff and is located in Boise, Idaho. Application review begins 1/16/18.

Deschutes National Forest - Special Uses Resources Assistant Position Description
The Northwest Youth Corps (NYC) in partnership with the Deschutes National Forest are advertising a Special Uses Resources Assistant (RA). This is a 10 month, full-time work experience from approximately mid-February to mid-November 2018. The position will assist United States Forest Service (USFS) staff in the area of special use administration. Special uses include land use such as communication site leases, commercial filming, utility lines, recreation residences, outfitter/guiding, and recreation events. Specific tasks include documentation in hard files and electronic files, billing support, corresponding with permit holders, database entry and clean up, inspection and monitoring, creation of authorization documents and becoming knowledgeable in the related directives.
